Islam, derived from the Arabic word "salam," meaning peace, submission, and obedience, is a monotheistic faith that teaches the worship of one God (Allah). It is also a comprehensive way of life encompassing spiritual, social, and moral guidance. 

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is the final messenger of Allah in Islam, received revelations from God through the Angel Gabriel. He is revered as the ideal example for Muslims to emulate in their personal conduct, social interactions, and devotion to God. His teachings, recorded in the Quran and Hadith (sayings and actions), form the basis of Islamic faith and practice.

The Five Pillars of Islam are fundamental acts of worship and practice that all Muslims are obligated to follow:
Shahada (Declaration of Faith): Professing the oneness of God and the prophethood of Muhammad.
Salah (Prayer): Performing ritual prayers five times a day facing the Kaaba in Mecca.
Zakat (Almsgiving): Giving a portion of one's wealth to those in need as a form of purification and social responsibility.
Sawm (Fasting): Observing fasting during the month of Ramadan, abstaining from food, drink, and other physical needs from dawn until sunset.
Hajj (Pilgrimage): Undertaking a pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca at least once in a lifetime, if physically and financially able.
These pillars serve as a framework for spiritual growth, community cohesion, and submission to the will of Allah.

The Quran is the holy book of Islam, the literal word of God as revealed to Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) over a period of approximately 23 years. It serves as the ultimate source of guidance for Muslims, addressing matters of faith, morality, law, and spirituality. Unlike other religious texts, the Quran is considered to be unaltered and preserved in its original language (Arabic), making it unique in its authenticity and authority for Muslims worldwide.
