Prophet Muhammad(sws) Prophecised in the Bible

Arrival of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh - peace be upon him) to this world to guide mankind to the correct path has been mentioned in the Bible and Hindu Scriptures. Let us explores some of these signs. Keep in mind, these are just supporting evidences. The primary evidences are still - Miracles of Quran and Miracles from Prophet Muhammad (sws).
Bible and other religions books have no authenticity and that's why these are only supporting evidences.

  1. Indication of a Prophet from the lineage of Ishmael

    Genesis 17:20
[And as for Ishmael, I have heard you. Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly. He shall beget twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation]
In contemporary times, the practice of explicitly blessing Abraham is not a common feature in Chritianity or Judaism. It is the Muslims all over the world who make the name of Abraham great and acknowledge God's blessing on him during their 5-daily prayers. That's a population of 1.6 billion people who mention Abraham's name on a regular basis. Here is where we Muslims say in our prayer everyday: "O Allah, send your blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent Your blessings upon Ibrahim (Abraham) and the family of Ibrahim. Truly, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious."
  2. Everlasting covenant - to a Prophet from the lineage of Ishmael

[And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you] - Genesis 17:7
[Then God said: “No, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after him] - Genesis 17:19
If you have read, you will realize that almost all of OT is narrated in a chronological order and stories narrated in OT are for the extraction of guidance by the reader. Then there are many prayer of the prophets. With this in mind, I would like the reader to read Genesis 16, 17.

Genesis 17:7 is reveled after the birth of Ishmael and before the birth of Issac. It says –

[And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you] - Genesis 17:7

This implies that descendants of Ishamel will have or already have an ‘everlasting covenant’ with God. Further in Genesis 17:19, after the promise of birth of Issac, OT mentions God’s promise of ‘everlasting covenant’ with Issac

[Then God said: “No, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after him] - Genesis 17:19

Now the confusion is there can’t be 2 ‘everlasting covenants’. So I delved in the Hebrew word for ‘everlasting’ which is ‘olam’ which means ‘long duration, antiquity, futurity’ as per http://biblelexicon.org/genesis/17-7.htm . If we take this meaning then surely the covenant for the Jews and Christians were long (about 2000+ years) and then ended at coming of Prophet Muhammad. Then the new covenant started from Muhammad (SWS) and will continue till the end. So both prophecies fulfilled. But if we treat the word as ‘everlasting’ then I am quite positive, and Allah knows best, that the texts have been modified somewhere. It is an historic record, and also mentioned in the Quran, that the rabbis have modified the text in many places for paltry price. If Rabbis did modify the text then surely they would not uplift Ishmael’s decendents and thus may have added the word ‘everlasting’ in Genesis 17:19 while mention covenant with Issac.

Points to Ponder - Prophecy of Genesis 17:7 is Prophet Muhammad(phuh)

If the Christians and Jews don’t take Muhammad as a prophet, then we ask, where is the fulfilment of the prophecy of Genesis 17:7? It is a fundamental building block of any faith to understand that God does not break promises. So then, do they wait for this promise to be fulfilled in the future? For the Christians, there is no room for any new covenant. They only accept the second coming of Jesus with the same message (Trinity). Oh my Christian reader, hate this or love this – it is Muhammad where God's promise of Genesis 17:7 is fulfilled. In fact in the gospels of New Testament, Jesus has hinted at the coming of Prophet Muhammad, we will discuss soon, insha’Allah.
  3. Reflection on circumcision

Genesis 17 also talked about circumcision. God orders Abraham to circumcise and to do the same for all male children.
[This is My covenant which you shall keep, between Me and you and your descendants after you: Every male child among you shall be circumcised; and you shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskins, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between Me and you.] Genesis 17:10-11
Christians have left physical circumcision, and thus have left sign of covenant between God and themselves. The above verse is very clear. Jesus Christ was circumcised as mentioned the New Testament [Luke 2:21]. Christians have adopted Paul (Saul of Taurus)'s religion where he elevated Jesus to the position of God and added his own argument that physical circumcision is replaced with circumcision in the heart [Romans 2:29 - The Book of Romans, including Romans 2, was written by the Apostle Paul]. Please read the original covenant of God at Genesis 17:14:
[And the uncircumcised male child, who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that person shall be cut off from his people; he has broken My covenant] - Genesis 17:14
Today only Muslims and Jews do physical circumcision. So my Christian readers, please reflect upon this.
  4. Who bless Abraham now? Only Muslims

Let us reflect upon Genesis 12:1-3
Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
Today only Muslims send explicit blessing to Abraham, please reflect upon this.

In Islamic daily prayer, Muslims recite blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad and his family, along with a specific invocation of blessings upon Abraham and his family: “O Allah, send your blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent Your blessings upon Ibrahim (Abraham) and the family of Ibrahim. Truly, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.”

Additionally, during the Hajj pilgrimage, Muslims commemorate Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to God, and this story is central to the observance of Eid al-Adha.
  5. God’s revelation to come from Arabia

Deuteronomy 33:1-2 says: “Now this is the blessing with which Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death. And he said: “The Lord came from Sinai, and dawned on them from Seir; He shone forth from Mount Paran, And He came with ten thousands of saints; From His right hand came a fiery law for them.”
Two points to note from this verse:
    1. Mount Paran: Where is it? It is the Arabia where Ishmael settled as per Genesis 21:21 (“He (Ishmael) dwelt in the Wilderness of Paran; and his mother took a wife for him from the land of Egypt.”) and we know Muhammad is the decedent of Ishmael. So Mount Paran is Arabia. According to the Book of Exodus Mount Sinai is the mountain at which the Ten Commandments were given to Moses by God. Mount Seir is the place where Esau settled (Genesis 36:8-9). God mentions that He (means His revelation) came from Sinai, dawned on them from Mt Seir, and shone forth from Arabia (Mount Paran). This is enough to point out that a Prophet Muhammad’s (SWS) arrival is indicated in Old Testament.

    2. Ten thousand of saints: Also look at Jude 1:14. The Hebrew word used for “ten thousand” may also mean multitude. But the most translators have used the word 10,000. Now from Islamic history, the number of faithful righteous Muslim who went with Muhammad (SWS) from Media to conquer Mecca in peaceful march is also 10,000.

The Hadith in Bukhari, Narrated Ibn Abbas :
“The Prophet left Medina (for Mecca) in the company of ten-thousand (Muslim warriors) in (the month of) Ramadan, and that was eight and a half years after his migration to Medina.”[Bukhari :: Book 5 :: Volume 59 :: Hadith 574]
Is that a coincidence? You judge yourself.

With help of Allah we have presented the truth to you. There are even more signs and miracles that were given to Prophet Muhammad(sws). But we hope these signs will wake you up, you accept the path to Paradise, by the grace of Allah!
