My brother AbdulRahman entered upon me while I was supporting the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, against my chest, and in his hand was a "siwak" (tooth stick). He started looking at it. I understood that he liked it, so I said: Shall I take it for you? He nodded in affirmation. I handed it to him and he inserted it in his mouth. It overwhelmed him, so he handed it back to me. I asked: Shall I soften it for you? He affirmed. I softened it for him and he utilized it. Before him was a flask or a box, as she (Aisha) said. He kept inserting his hand in it and wiped his face with it, and said: "There is no god but Allah, indeed death has throes."
