The Unknown Scholar's Summary
The Unknown Scholar also summarized it in a book entitled "The Desires of the Questioner on what the Book of Evidence Contains." The second part exists in Zahiriyya, Damascus. The author's method of demonstration prophethood is to narrate prophetic reports, the affairs of the legislator, and extract from them these evidences.
This is apparent in the titles of the sections. Then he came and devoted all the proofs together in one place, which we have singled out in the sixth journey of this printing. In addition to containing several unpublished texts, and although it quotes from books that have not reached us, it is the best book written in the prophethood of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, and evidences of his prophethood through authentic Hadith and reliable reports.
Al-Bayhaqi's Life and Scholarly Status
He is the Imam, the Hafiz, the Scholar, the Sheikh of Khorasan, the honorable Jurist, the enlightened Usuli, the ascetic, the reverent, the author of numerous books who defended the school of jurisprudence in principles and branches, "Abu Baker Ahmad Son of Hussein Al-Bayhaqi Al-Naysaburi." He was born in the year 384.
He was born in Khusrawjird (from the villages of Bayhaq, Nishapur), and was raised in Bayhaq. He studied in Bayhaq, a major district and broad region full of towns and buildings from the areas of Nishapur. This region has produced countless virtuous individuals, scholars, jurists, and writers
As stated in the Islamic Encyclopedia, "Bayhaq is a region of Nishapur's works in Khorasan, the capital of which was originally "Khusradjird", about four miles from Sabzawar. Then Sabzawar became its castle afterwards, and among the villages of Bayhaq was "Bashtin", home of Prince ‘Abd al-Razzaq, found of the Sarbadar dynasty. Its people were known"

Students of Al-Bayhaqi and His Travels in Search of Knowledge
He began studying under scholars in the year 399 Hijri, at the age of fifteen. True to the tradition of hadith scholars who travel far and wide in search of knowledge, Al-Bayhaqi journeyed throughout various regions. He traveled to Iraq, Hijaz, and heard from scholars in Nuqan, Asfarayin, Tus, Mahrjan, Asadabad, Hamedan, Damghan, Isfahan, Ray, Tabaran, Nishapur, Rudhbar, Baghdad, Kufa, and Mecca, covering many horizons.
His Journey and Philosophy in Seeking Knowledge
All throughout his journey, he was characterized by a humble and reverent spirit, with a deep respect for God and a thirst for knowledge. He was patient with the harsh realities of life, never complaining about scarcity or hardship. His reason for this was his lofty aspiration and noble character that saw nothing more worthy of pursuit than knowledge. This, according to him, is the key to strength and noble lineage. It is in the pursuit of knowledge that a person's spirit is elevated.
Knowledge is the truth that the Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him) likened to the highest level of scholars, and they confirmed this in their character and actions. The virtues of a scholar are nothing more than a continuation of the impact of the prophethood. His entire nation revolves around this.
The Virtues of Al-Bayhaqi
The noble characteristics that Al-Bayhaqi embodied and mastered by his sincere pursuit of knowledge, pure intentions, mindfulness of Allah, and detachment from worldly burdens. His commitment to fasting for thirty years in an attempt to elevate his spirit, polished his skills, and guided his footsteps. His teachers, who were over a hundred in number, have greatly influenced him.
Abu Bakr Ibn Al-Husayn Ibn Ali, a Shafii Narrator from Pashtin greatly inspired Al-Bayhaqi. Despite being Shia, he refused to favor Shia in all eras, instead, he concentrated on the pursuit of knowledge.
Opening of Bayhaq
Bayhaq opened in the thirtieth year of Hijrah, entered by Abdullah Ibn Aamir Ibn Kurayz upon his return from Kerman. The locals received him well, and many of the companions settled down there. Abu Rafi'ah Tamim ibn Aus Al-Adawi, Zuhair ibn Dthaib, and Ibn Bishr Al-Ansari died there. And for some time, Shahar ibn Hawshab, 'Ikrimah, the servant of Abdullah ibn Abbas, and Qunbur, the servant of Ali Ibn Abi Talib, resided there.
