The Tenth Scholar: Abdul Allah Ibn Muhammad Al-Amyuti

The theologian and jurist Abdul Allah Ibn Muhammad Al-Amyuti, along with other eminent scholars such as jurist Nasser Al-Din Ibn Muhammad Al-Ghzouli, Muhammad Ibn Awwad Al-Taybi, Musa Ibn Abi Bakr Al-Muezzin, teacher Muhammad Ibn Muhammad Ibn Hajul Al-Masri, Muhammad Ibn Abdullah Al-Masri, and Ali Ibn Abdullah Al-Tunisi.

Praiseworthy Verse

All praise is due to Allah alone and blessings upon our Master, Muhammad. This was confirmed on a Friday, the nineteenth of Dhu Al-Qadah, in the year eight hundred and fifty-three. May Allah bring the best conclusions.

The Responsibilities of the Scholars

The aforementioned scholars are called upon to recount the entirety of the book and to narrate what is permissible for them. They are bound by stipulations imposed by their communities, and they are to recite these in their presence. Allah is sufficient for us, and he is the best trustee.

This authentication and writing was completed by Muhammad Ibn Ahmad Al-Haythami, a Tanbadi scholar. This manuscript can be found in the Egyptian Dar Al-Kutub under the number (215) and is assigned the letter (f).

Description of the Manuscript

The aforementioned manuscript consists of one hundred seventy-five folios and was written in the year 731 Hijri (Islamic Calendar). It was penned by Abi Bakr Ibn Ali Ibn Ismail Al-Ansari Al-Bahnasi Al-Shaafi'i in Cairo. The manuscript pages measure 17 x 25 cm and are written in a precise script, with an average of 29 lines per page and approximately fifteen words per line. It is identified as the third volume and covers the story of "Muzayna" and their question, up to the end of the book.

At the beginning, it states: "The third part of the book of Evidence of the Prophet and knowing the conditions of the companion of the Shari'ah"

Muhammad Ibn Abdullah: Messenger of the Lord of Majesty

Muhammad Ibn Abdullah, the Messenger of the Lord of Majesty and the Chosen One among all creatures, may the blessings of Allah be upon him, his pure and virtuous family, and peace be unto him.

• Imam Al-Hafidh Abi Muhammad Al-Mubarak Ibn Ali Ibn Al-Hussein Al-Baghdadi, also known as Ibn Al-Tabbakh.
• The virtuous sheikh Al Musnad Abi Al Karam La Haq Ibn Abd Al-Munem Al-Artahi.
• The virtuous sheikh Al Musnad Najm Ad-din Abi-Bakr Ibn Abdul Aziz Al-Mandari, known as Ibn As-Sayah.

Approved by sheikh Imam Taj Ad-din Abi Al-Hussein Ali Ibn Muhammad Tabrizi Shafi'i, and copied by the servant Abi Bakr, the scribe of this narration.

Issuance date of listening certification:

The end of the fourth part, in the month of Dhul-Hijjah, 726 Hijri, read by Badr Ad-din Al-Sufi Al-Hanafi and Al-Mandari in Cairo. May Allah the Almighty bless it with grace and generosity. Amen.

Conclusion

At the end of this copy, it says: "This is the end of the sixth part of the copy, transcribed from the original. Also, the end of the third part copied from the original. This copy from the book 'Evidence of Prophethood and Knowings of the Laws' is now complete, thanks to Allah's grace, generosity and assistance. This text was written by the scribe for himself, the humble servant of Almighty Allah: Abi Bakr Ibn Ali Ibn Ismail Al-Ansari Al-Bahnasi Al-Shafi'i in Cairo. May Allah the Almighty preserve it."
