Account of Ali ibn Abi Talib's Description
After him, like him, may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him.* Abu Bakr ibn Furak said: Abdullah ibn Ja'far informed us, who said: Yunus ibn Habib told us, who said: Abu Dawood narrated to us, who said: Al-Mas'oodi reported to us, from Uthman ibn Abdullah ibn Hurmuz, from Nafi' ibn Jubayr, from Ali ibn Abi Talib who mentioned him except that he said: "When he walked, he lifted his feet wrapped, as if he were stepping off a steep path. They disagreed on the name of Ali's father 'Uthman' as we mentioned. Likewise, others differed on that as some said: son of Muslim, while others said: son of Abdullah."
Ali ibn Abi Talib's Description Continued
Abu al-Hasan ibn Ali ibn Muhammad al-Muqri al-Isfara'ini narrated to us that Al-Hasan ibn Muhammad ibn Ishaq told us, who said: Yusuf ibn Yaqub narrated to us, who said: Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr narrated to us, who said: Isa ibn Yunus reported to us. Muhammad ibn al-Husayn ibn al-Fadhl al-Qattan informed us, who said: Abdullah ibn Ja'far narrated to us, who said: Ya'qub ibn Sufyan told us, who said: Abdullah ibn Muslima and Sa'id ibn Mansur informed us, saying: Isa ibn Yunus narrated to us, who said: Umar ibn Abdullah, the freed slave of Ghufran, told me that Ibrahim ibn Muhammad - from the descendants of Ali - said: Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, when describing the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "He was neither very tall nor short; he was of medium height. He was not extremely curly-haired nor completely straight-haired, but slightly wavy. He had a broad forehead, wide-set sparkling eyes, long eyelashes. This has been cited in the footnotes."

The Description of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)
In describing the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), it is mentioned that he had prominent front teeth and broad shoulders. He had a light step like he was walking on a slope, and when he turned, he turned completely. Between his shoulders was the seal of prophethood.
He had the best hand, the bravest heart, the most truthful speech, he was the most trustworthy, the softest in dealing with others, and was the most generous. Those who saw him were awed by his appearance, and those who knew him loved him.
He was described as having the broadest chest. Ali, describing the Prophet, said he was not excessively tall nor short, nor was he loud or indecent. He had a fair complexion, beautiful eyes, prominent front teeth, broad shoulders and feet, delicate hand movements, and a light step in walking.
He was not stooped, nor had curly hair. He was described as having a radiant complexion and a debonair appearance.

Characteristics of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)
Physical Description
The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, was fair-skinned with a reddish tinge, bright-eyed, well-built with abundant hair. His hair flowed to his shoulders like a comb. He had no hair on his torso or abdomen. His hands and feet were sturdy, and he walked as if descending a slope or detaching from a rock. When he turned, he turned his whole body. His sweat resembled pearls, and the scent of his perspiration was more fragrant than musk.
Behavior and Demeanor
The Prophet, peace be upon him, was neither very tall nor short, not feeble nor debased. He was the best person I had ever seen in Allah's creation, with the most pleasant scent and gentle hands. His hair reached the midpoint of his ears and he leaned, while walking.

The Physical Description of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
Abu Hurairah was asked about the description of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and he said: He was the best of people in appearance and the most beautiful. He was of medium stature, neither tall nor short. His hair reached his shoulders. His forehead was large. He had intense black hair and thick eyelashes. When he walked, he lifted his feet firmly. His joints were large but not protruding. When he threw his cloak over his shoulders, it seemed as though he was wearing a silver garment. When he laughed, it was as if light radiated from his face. I have never seen anyone before or after him like him.
