Baab (Chapter) of the Islam of Abu Quhaafa, Uthmaan ibn Aamir ibn Abi Bakr As-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with them) at the time of conquest

It was narrated to us by Abu Abdullah Al-Haafiz and Abu Bakr Al-Qaadi, they said: Abu Al-Abbaas, Muhammad ibn Ya'qoob, narrated to us, he said: Ahmed ibn Abdil-Jabbaar narrated to us, he said: Yunus ibn Bukayr narrated from Ibn Ishaaq, he said: Yahya ibn Abbaad narrated from his father: Abbaad ibn Abdullah ibn Az-Zubayr narrated from Asmaa bint Abi Bakr, she said: 'During the year of the conquest when the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, stayed at Dhaa Tuwa, Abu Quhaafa said to his youngest daughter: "My little daughter! Climb onto my back so you can see Abu Qubays, for his sight has weakened." She climbed on his back and saw the man as described earlier. Abu Quhaafa then asked her: "What do you see?" She replied: "I see a black gathering, and a man entering it from both ends at the same time." He said: "Those are horses, my daughter, and that man is Al-Waazi' (the commander). Then he asked her again what she saw, and she said: "I see the blackness spreading." He said: "By Allah, in that case horses have been sent away, so hurry and take me back home." She rushed to do so until when she reached the courtyard, the horses met her, with a silver necklace on one of their necks. A man snatched it from the horse's neck. When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, entered the mosque, Abu Bakr went out to meet his father, leading him. When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, saw him...

Meeting of Abu Bakr and the Prophet

Abu Bakr said: "Why did you not leave the elderly man at his house until I brought him to you?" He replied: "[He will come] walking to you, O Messenger of Allah, is more befitting than you walking to him." The Prophet then seated him before him, placed his hand on his chest, and said: "Embrace Islam, you will find success." The man embraced Islam. Then Abu Bakr stood, held his sister's hand, and made her embrace Islam too, earnestly pleading with her. But she did not respond. He asked her repeatedly to embrace Islam, emphasizing the concept of trustworthiness among the people being rare nowadays.

The Conversion of Abu Bakr's Father

Narrated by Bahz bin Nasr, on the authority of Ibn Jareeh, from Abu Zubair, that Jabir reported that Umar ibn al-Khattab took the hand of Abu Quhafa and brought him to the Prophet. When they stood before the Prophet, he observed: "Change his appearance and do not bring him near me in the same state." Ibn Wahb added: Umar bin Muhammad told me, on the authority of Zaid bin Aslam, that the Prophet congratulated Abu Bakr on his father's acceptance of Islam.
