Bab Ma Ja'a Fi Qawlihi Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wa Sallama Lil Rumata: The Prophet's Command to Archers

In this narration, Abu 'Abdullah Al-Hafiz reports that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, instructed archers saying, "Shoot, and I am with Ibn al-Azrar." This incident is recorded with various narrators, with Muhammad ibn Isma'il ibn Khuza'ima being part of the chain.

On one occasion, the Prophet passed by a group of new Muslim converts practicing archery. He praised their skill and encouraged them to aim their arrows, even though some were hesitant to do so without him participating. The Prophet reassured them and stood amongst them, prompting all the archers to shoot their arrows. He emphasized unity and teamwork, ensuring that they all partook in the exercise.

After all the archers had fired, they dispersed evenly, with no individual being singled out for excelling over the others. This message of collective effort and equality was a crucial lesson taught by the Prophet on that day.

This anecdote is also narrated by Abu Bakr ibn Abi Uwais from Sulaiman, illustrating the Prophet's teachings on cooperation and humility.
