Chapter on the Prayer of Ukasha ibn Mahsan and his Attainment of Testimony through the Blessings of his Prayer and the Manifestation of Indicators of Truth in What He Reported About his State

Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz narrated to us, saying: Abu Bakr ibn Abdullah informed us, saying: Al-Hasan ibn Sufyan reported to us, narrated Haramala, who was told by Ibn Wahb, who narrated to me Yunus, from Ibn Shihab, who said: Saeed ibn Al-Musayyib narrated to us that Abu Hurayrah informed him that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saying: "Seventy thousand of my Ummah will enter paradise with faces shining like the full moon on a clear night." Abu Hurayrah said: Ukasha ibn Mahsan al-Asadi stood up with a piece of wood in his hand and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Pray to Allah to make me one of them." The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "O Allah, make him one of them." Then a man from the Ansar stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Pray to Allah to make me one of them." The Messenger of Allah said, "Ukasha has beaten you to it."

Muslim reported it in Sahih from Haramala, and Al-Bukhari narrated it from the hadith of Ibn Al-Mubarak through Yunus, and it was also narrated by Imran ibn Husayn from the Prophet (peace be upon him).

It is well-known among the people of the battles that Ukasha was martyred during the days of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him).
