The Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) About Ensuring the Safety of Doors and House Walls Through Supplication

In this narration, it is reported that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) advised his uncle, Al-Abbas, and his cousins about ensuring the safety of their homes through supplication. The narration begins with the chain of narrators leading to the Prophet's statement to Al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib:

Prophet Muhammad said to Al-Abbas: "O Abu Al-Fadl, do not lock your house tomorrow, you and your sons until I come to you, as I have a need from you, so wait for me until I come after the morning prayer." When he arrived after the morning prayer and entered their house, he greeted them and inquired about their well-being. They replied that they were in good health and praised Allah. The Prophet then inquired about their welfare, and they responded that they were well and thanked Allah. The Prophet instructed them to come closer and said: "Come closer, come closer. Draw near to one another until there is no gap left between you, huddle together until you are all in one gathering." Then he supplicated: "O Allah, this is Muhammad ibn Yunus Al-Kudaymi."

Translation of Classical Islamic Arabic Text

Key Points: The passage includes a supplication for protection of family members from the fire of Hell, a specific hadith narrated by Abdullah ibn Uthman al-Waqqasi, and a reference to the hadith being narrated by Abu Nu'aim in Ad-Dalail.

Translation: My paternal uncle and the purity of my father, and these are the people of my household, so protect them from the Fire as I protect them with my shawl. He said: "So the door's bolts and the house's walls were secured, so it said: Amen, Amen, Amen."

The wording of the Hadith of Al-Harawiyy was specifically attributed to Abdullah ibn Uthman al-Waqqasi, who was asked about by Uthman ad-Darimi Yahya ibn Ma'in, and he said: "I do not know him."

This hadith is narrated by Abu Nu'aim in Ad-Dalail (370), and from him Al-Bayhaqi reported it, and As-Suyuti in Al-Khasa'is Al-Kubra (2:77) narrated it with a chain that includes individuals whose credibility is questionable.
